Ricardo Gómez writes novels and essays in English and Spanish. Born in Canada and raised in Colombia, he now lives in Port Townsend, Washington, after nearly two decades in Seattle.

His work offers four paths for readers: Adventures Through Time; Power and Resistance; Knowledge and Discovery; and Family, Place and Belonging. Across these books, people confront the histories they inherit, the truths others try to bury, and the choices that bring the past into their lives.

Gómez is a retired University of Washington professor. Before turning to fiction, he spent three decades researching information, migration, and community life with collaborators across the Americas. That work continues to shape the questions he brings to a story.

Ricardo Gómez escribe novelas y ensayos en inglés y español. Nació en Canadá, creció en Colombia y hoy vive en Port Townsend, Washington, después de casi dos décadas en Seattle.

En estos libros, las personas enfrentan las historias que heredan, las verdades que otros intentan enterrar y las decisiones que traen el pasado a sus vidas.

Gómez es profesor jubilado de la Universidad de Washington. Antes de dedicarse a la ficción, pasó tres décadas investigando sobre información, migración y vida comunitaria con colaboradores de todas las Américas. Ese trabajo sigue dando forma a las preguntas que lleva a cada historia.
